Mr. Corey holds the distinction of having been a Principal dancer with both Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The National Ballet of Canada. He is especially well known for his leading roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, Giselle and Cinderella. He is also noted for dancing opposite Rudolph Nureyev in Jose Limon’s classic work The Moor’s Pavane. He was awarded a Dance Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts for his service to the State of Alabama during his more than twenty five years at Mobile Ballet.

Mr. Corey also has been a five time coach for the New York International Ballet Competition, coaching dancers from all over the world in The Sleeping Beauty and Black Swan pas de deux. Mr. Corey has been a summer faculty member for both the Joffrey Ballet School in New York and American Ballet Theater. He has been a guest teacher at Brown University, Dance Masters of America, Dance Teachers Club of Boston and Professional Dance Teachers Association New York and has taught master classes throughout the United States, Canada and Portugal. He has staged and choreographed full-length productions of The Nutcracker, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo & Juliet, Cinderella, and Swan Lake, as well as three original ballets – Dracula, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Snow White. Mr. Corey is also well known for his design and construction of classical tutus and costumes.
