MBC’S CONNECTIONS 2020 ~ STARS OF AMERICAN BALLET ENCORE

Back by popular demand, MBC is delighted to present an encore performance of Stars, starring Principals and Soloists from New York City Ballet to be held one night only on Friday, June 5, 2020.

Stars of American Ballet was founded by New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Daniel Ulbricht and currently tours around the world performing, offering master classes, pre-performance lectures and community outreach programs. The mission of Stars of American Ballet is “to one day see all parts of this country entertained, educated, lifted up and inspired by the art of ballet and great dancing, delivered to anyone, anywhere who wishes to share this experience.”

MBC Artistic Executive Director, Elizabeth DeFanti, notes the special connection with New York City Ballet. Decades ago MBC Founding Director, Ann Bates, established a “NY Connection” program where artists from New York City Ballet worked with MBC both teaching and performing during the summer months. DeFanti decided to create CONNECTIONS to honor the NY Connection legacy and provide an opportunity for Montana Ballet and its valued audiences to “connect” to the larger national and international dance community.

MBC is proud to continue its 35-year tradition of performance collaborations and guest residencies with exceptional artists from esteemed organizations such as New York City Ballet, Stars of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Stars of Moscow, Smuin Ballet, and Terminus Modern Ballet Theater, among many others.

With world-renowned dancers and choreography, CONNECTIONS 2020 ~ Stars of American Ballet, will captivate audiences.
