Richard Bowman, International Ballet Master, Coach and Répétiteur.

Mr. Bowman is an Auckland-born dancer and ballet master with 30+ years’ global experience, including roles such as principal and guest soloist dancer, assistant director, rehearsal director, and ballet master. He performed these leadership roles with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, New York’s American Ballet Theatre, and the Ecole du Ballet de l’Opera de Paris, among many others.

A graduate of London’s Royal Ballet School, his career includes work as a much-in-demand guest artist, rehearsal director and ballet master. Mr. Bowman has a successful track record, both in the studio and on stage, of ensuring that high standards are met in companies across Europe, Australia, and the United States. 

Most recently based in Houston, Texas, Mr. Bowman worked on projects that included leading a mentoring and coaching programme for dancers around the world who were homebound during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Richard Bowman is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
