Samantha Hinckley is a faculty member of the Academy. Originally from Ogden, Utah, Ms. Hinckley moved to Montana in 2000. With the exception of one year in France, she has happily called Bozeman home ever since. Beginning with Ballet at the age of 6, she also enjoyed Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern training. Passion for movement, born through dance, has played an enormous role in shaping her career and creative paths.
Instructing allows her to share the joy of mind-body connection with students of all ages. Ms. Hinckley is a STOTT Pilates instructor at Bridger Pilates, teaches Creative Movement at Storybook Daycare, and was Big Sky Broadway’s 2015 season Choreographer for their productions of “Pippin” and “Mary Poppins.”
An avid outdoorswoman, skier, yogi, and visual artist, she creates her two-dimensional works in her shop Studio SHH. Ms. Hinckley is recognized by the Montana Arts Council as a MAP Certified Artist, and has a BFA in Printmaking and Painting and a BA in Modern Language and Literature with a French concentration from Montana State University.
Ms. Hinckley loves teaching at Montana Ballet and looks forward to another exciting season.
